The Filipino national flag carrier began services on the HCMC- Brisbane route on March 15 and will open the HCMC- Riyadh route on March 28, Marie Jemma B. Saranillo, the carrier’s country manager in Vietnam, said at a media briefing last Monday. She said passengers would transit in Manila before boarding planes to the destinations in Australia and Saudi Arabia. Currently, the carrier offers fares starting from US$270 for a one-way trip between HCMC and the Australian city and from $325 for a roundtrip on this route. The promotional fares are some $300 lower than normal rates.
