The establishment of a national population database aims to provide state agencies and individuals with accurate and updated demographic information which can serve socio-economic development requirements.
Personal information will be collected and updated, including names, photo, ID number, place of birth, gender, nationality, passport number, heath insurance card number, tax number, education background, occupation, work place addresses, and home addresses.
The Ministry of Public Security will work with relevant agencies to amend and supplement the collected data.
State agencies, socio-political organizations, and individuals will be able to access the database for legitimate purposes.
